Trustee.nlm saves and restores trustee file and directory rights, working in the long namespace. It can also be used as a reporting tool to get a specific user's effective rights to the file system and eDirectory, or to scan users with access rights to sensitive areas on the server.
features
  • saves and restores all user trustee rights and inherited rights masks (IRMs) using a CSV file
  • saves and restores all additional file system properties: attributes, owner, user quota, directory quota using a CSV file
  • removes all trustee rights starting from the given path
  • removes all trustee rights starting from the given path, where empty rights are assigned
  • removes all trustee rights starting from the given path (or, using the ALL parameter, all the directories and files on the volume), where the object ID is unknown or invalid (ID to name mapping returns -601)
  • reads through all the directories on the server (on all volumes) and lists the effective rights of a user in the designated file (in CSV format)
  • starting from [Root], analyzes all objects and reports the security holes in the eDirectory in the given file
  • scans all volumes on the server and reports the security holes in the file system to the given file
  • NetWare 4.x, 5.x, 6.x compatibility
